About
A paper sign, done properly.
Most small shops tell customers about a closed day with a sheet of paper taped to the door, a post on one social account and a line on the website that nobody remembers to remove. Door Note puts that notice in one place and shows it everywhere a customer might look.
What it does
A shop owner makes a board with the shop’s name, time zone and weekly hours, and posts short notices with start and end dates. Door Note shows them on the shop’s own page, in a widget for the shop’s website, on a printable QR sign and in an RSS feed. It works out “open now” or “closed” from the hours and today’s notices, and drops each notice after its end date.
What it does not do
- It is not a news site, a business directory or a publication. There are no articles and no page that lists many businesses.
- It does not take orders, bookings, invoices or payments between shops and their customers.
- It does not write notices. There is no AI in Door Note.
- It does not check who runs a board. Each board says so at the bottom: its notices are written by its owner.
Who runs it
Door Note is built and run by WeldonPC, a computer and web services company. The address mybiz.news is simply where it lives.
