How it works

One note. Four places.

Every board is built from the same short list: your weekly hours and the notices you post. Change it once and every place updates.

  1. Your own page

A clean page at mybiz.news/s/your-shop-k7q2 (your shop’s name plus four random characters) with today’s status — “Open now, closes at 5:00 PM” — your hours and your current notices. Free.

  2. A widget for your website

Paste one line into your own site. Your status and notices appear there, with no tracking scripts. Plus

  3. A QR sign for the door

Print a one-page sign with your hours and a QR code. Customers scan it and see today’s notices, even after you change them. Free; 3 layouts with Plus.

  4. An RSS feed

Regulars and feed readers can follow your notices, including the ones you scheduled ahead. Plus

Dates do the tidying

Old notices take themselves down.

Every notice has a start date and an end date. It appears on its start date and is gone the day after its end date — worked out in your shop’s own time zone. Nobody has to remember to peel the paper off the glass.

  • Hours change — “Open 10 to 2 on Christmas Eve” changes today’s status for those dates.
  • Closed — a closed day overrides your usual hours, so the page never says “open” when you are not.
  • Special and Notice — everything else: a new menu, a parking change, a sale.

“Sidewalk sale” shows Fri–Sun

…and on Monday it’s simply gone.

Open or closed, worked out for you

The first thing customers want to know.

Door Note reads your weekly hours and today’s notices and says, in plain words, whether you are open right now and when that changes. Late nights that run past midnight, days you are closed all day and the clock changes in spring and fall are all handled.

Plain answers

What Door Note is, and isn’t.

Do I need an account?
No. When you make a board you get a private edit link. Keep it like a key: anyone with it can edit your board, and we cannot resend it because we only keep a scrambled copy.
Does it take orders, bookings or payments?
No. Door Note does one job: your hours and your notices. There are no orders, appointments, invoices or payments between you and your customers.
Is it a news site or a business directory?
No. Each board belongs to one shop and carries only that shop’s own notices. There is no list of businesses, no articles and no reporting.
Does it write my notices for me?
No. You write every word. There is no AI in Door Note.
